Hey brother,
Valentine's Day is Friday, just a gentle reminder in case you haven’t gotten your sweetheart a gift yet.
This is my first Valentines day as a married man and if there is one standard I want to set for this holiday it’s that everyday is Valentines Day when you’re married to a High Value Man.
What does she want more than anything?
I’d argue more than roses, chocolate or night out its constant pursuit and presence.
That’s the topic we covered on our Men’s call this morning.
Every Wednesday my partner Josh and I host The High Value Men weekly men’s call and I thought I’d share some insights from today’s call with you since it's Valentines week and maybe you haven’t found the perfect gift yet.
Our weekly Wednesday calls focus on THREE things.
WINS - To look for what is working and to be inspired by other men.
Teaching – A tactical teaching to help you in your four domains [Faith, Fitness, Family & Finances]
Action - A specific challenge for you to implement in the next 7 days.
Here’s the notes from today’s call.
Wins from the week:
Nate shared how his thriving business provides him the financial freedom to travel and spend time with family without stress.
Troy shared how his mission trip to El Salvador deepened his faith and reinforced his leadership.
Mike stayed consistent with his 5 AM CrossFit workouts and completed a water fast for mental clarity.
Isaac took a San Diego trip with his wife, reconnecting through early morning sunrise prayers.
Lance, at 50, crushed his first half marathon and is on track to run five this year.
Josh and his wife went on their annual vision retreat, ensuring their goals are aligned for the year.

Teaching: Valentines Pursuit and Presence
Every week Josh and I alternate on who is teaching, he owns the domain of FAMILY, he and his wife Dr. Britt run a couples coaching company called Same Team Forever and he brings incredible insight and wisdom on how to lead a great marriage.
Today Josh led a discussion on how to pursue our wives and deepen connection and intimacy in light of Valentine's week.
A big thing to pay attention to as a High Value Man, Valentines is everyday and comes down to presence and pursuit… not just presents.
Pursuit is not just about chasing new things it’s about consistently showing up for what matters most.
Presence in relationships requires intentional focus. You can’t be an effective leader in your family or business if you’re not truly present.
Real masculine strength lies in consistently pursuing the people you love: your wife, your children, and your friends. This is what keeps relationships alive.
You can’t drift into deep relationships—they require intentional actions, day after day.
How to take action as a High Value “Romantic” Man
Plan one intentional action for your wife, children, or a close friend this week, outside of any holidays or obligatory events.
Be present in conversations: Put down your phone, focus on the other person, and truly listen without offering a solution unless asked. “Here’s what I heard you say” is one the fastest ways to level up your listening skills.
DATE YOUR WIFE EVERY WEEK plan it and put it on the schedule for the whole year.
Do something special Friday and then do something special every week after that.

PS… The perfect gift is your constant pursuit and focused presence, you can’t drift your way into a great marriage which means you can’t rely on Hallmark Holidays to keep the fire alive.
If you want a great marriage it’s about consistent effort not occasional gestures that’s why I put together the FREE HVM 52 Date Challenge that will give you ideas on weekly dates for a full year you and your sweetheart can do.
It’s a spreadsheet [which we love as men] full of creative ideas so you can win your woman over every single week, make a copy, plan the date and romance weekly.
